In 1897, Lorenzo Rubelli's acquisition of the esteemed Venetian weaving mill G.B. Trapolin marked the genesis of an illustrious legacy. Thus, Gio. Battista Trapolin successore Lorenzo Rubelli was born—a bastion of unrivaled craftsmanship in the Veneto, revered for its prestigious supplies and orders. Notable among its commissions was Queen Margherita of Savoy's silk soprarizzo in 1902, a masterpiece of Art Nouveau elegance adorned with daisies and the Savoy knot. By 1934, Rubelli's contemporary focus shone at the Venice Art Biennale, exhibiting fabrics designed by luminaries like Gio Ponti and Vittorio Zecchin.

Expanding its horizons, Rubelli ventured beyond borders, establishing its first foreign branch in Paris in 1976. With subsequent openings in London, New York, Munich, and Dubai, Rubelli's influence transcended continents, solidifying its status as a global icon of luxury textiles.

In 1987, Rubelli diversified its portfolio, pioneering fireproof fabrics for public spaces with specific safety requirements. This innovation laid the foundation for the contract division, which supplied technical fabrics to prestigious projects like the cruise ship Princess in 1989.

Rubelli's commitment to heritage and artistry was exemplified in 2003 when it donated fabrics for the restoration of the La Fenice Theatre in Venice, showcasing its dedication to preserving cultural treasures. Today, Rubelli's fabrics adorn esteemed institutions worldwide, from La Scala Theatre in Milan to the Albertina Museum in Vienna, embodying a legacy of excellence that spans generations.
